Stainless Steel 316HPipes and Tube are austenitic chromium-nickel stainless steel pipes suitable for corrosive or high-temperature service, or both, or for general applications.

316H Stainless Steel Pipes and Tubes are available in ASME SA/ASTM A269, A312, A213 and Grades 202, 304, 304L, 304H, 304LN, 309s, 310s, 316, 316L, 316H, 316Ti, 316LN, 317L, 321, 321H, 347, 347H, 904L, 254 SMO , 6MO . A grade indicates the testing methods required for a particular application.

With years of experience manufacturing 316H Stainless Steel Pipes and Tubes, The Steel Exporter Company is a 316H Stainless Steel Pipes and Tube specialist. Our services are high quality, low cost, and the best in the industry.

Among austenitic stainless steels, grade 316 is the standard molybdenum-bearing grade, second only to grade 304. Molybdenum gives Grade 316 better corrosion resistance than Grade 304, particularly in chloride environments where pitting and crevice corrosion are more common.

Forming and welding properties of the material are excellent. A variety of parts can be formed from the material for use in industrial, architectural, and transportation applications. Grade 316 has excellent welding characteristics as well. Post-weld annealing is not required when welding thin sections.

316L is a low carbon version of 316 that resists sensitisation (grain boundary carbide precipitation). It is therefore widely used in heavy gauge welded components (over 6mm). With its higher carbon content, grade 316H can be used at elevated temperatures, just like grade 316TiAs a result of the austenitic structure, these grades are also extremely tough, even at cryogenic temperatures

Due to its greater resistance to pitting corrosion than other grades of steel, it is the preferred steel for use in marine environments. Since it is negligibly responsive to magnetic fields, it can be used in applications requiring non-magnetic metals.

316 contains a number of other elements in varying concentrations in addition to molybdenum. In comparison to metals and other conductive materials, marine grade stainless steel is a relatively poor conductor of heat and electricity.

316 is not completely corrosion-proof, but it is more corrosion-resistant than other stainless steels. Subtypes of 316 stainless steel are used to make surgical steel.
